In the News: Rally Saint Louis

While it’s been on our radar for a while, it wasn’t until my class at UMSL that we really got to know Rally Saint Louis. Born out of Aaron Perlut’s 2011 Forbes article entitled “Saint Louis Doesn’t Suck,” RallySTL is a grassroots movement powered by St. Louisans who want to help shape the future and perceptions of St. Louis.

RallySTL provides a platform for people to submit, vote for, and help fund ideas to make the region a better place to live, work, and visit. The most recent project that RallySTL has helped launch is The Play Port St. Louis International, an indoor airport-themed playground at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, developed in partnership between Lambert and The Magic House St. Louis Children’s Museum.

I got to know RallySTL through my Blogs to Buzz class at UMSL, where our group project was helping RallySTL develop a comprehensive plan for their blog strategy.

We encourage you to check out RallySTL – start voting, help fund projects, and let’s unify to help make St. Louis a better place to live, work, and play!
